In recent years, there has been significant progress in the development of urban gas. In particular, the extensive use of smart gas meters has brought a lot of convenience to enterprises and users. At the same time, this has raised higher demands for information security. To address the information security needs of the smart metering industry, HED has developed a smart gas meter security solution based on the autonomous and controllable SE chip. This solution ensures high reliability to safeguard the information security of smart gas meters in various aspects such as access, communication transmission, and data storage.
HED Intelligent gas meter security program provides the following functions:
Identity Authentication:
Before the terminal connects to the backend system, it needs to undergo two-way identity authentication to confirm the legal identity of both parties and ensure subsequent secure communication. Once the identity authentication process is completed, a trusted link is established between both parties.
Communication Encryption:
After completing two-way identity authentication between the terminal and the backend system, specific cryptographic algorithms and processes should be used to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data transmission.
Secure Storage:
Sensitive information or key parameters used by the terminal can be securely stored within the SE.
Firmware Protection:
With the secret key and algorithms provided by SE, the legality and availability of firmware programs are protected through mechanisms such as signatures, achieving secure OTA upgrade functionality.
